PROJECT 365 . Creating a Drawing a Day
This journey began with my friend and muse, Emily Metalskin, trying to come to terms with changes in her body as she ages. Emily, like myself - like many of us - was starting to find it difficult to look in the mirror, to accept the changes she saw in herself.
Rather than hiding, Emily courageously decided to document her journey by taking a self-portrait every day for 365 days.
She invited me to collaborate with a drawing a day of her process.
I'm a firm believer that drawing is the foundation for all types of art.
If you can't draw it, you can't paint it, sculpt it, no matter what the concept.
Many will disagree with me, and that's okay.
Here's our journey.
Each drawing is finished with a white matte and securely packaged in a crystal clear, acid-free, archival bag.
Most fit in a standard 8" X 10" or 11" x 14" frame.
Or you can BUY IT FRAMED directly from me and save yourself a step.
